Youth Entrepreneurship

The OCRI Entrepreneurship Centre is proud to be involved with various youth entrepreneurship programs. Our goal is to educate and assist young entrepreneurs in the area of business planning, and to promote entrepreneurship as a valid career option.

The Summer Company youth entrepreneurship experience provides hands-on business training and mentoring – and awards of up to $3,000 – to help students start and run their own summer business.
An annual youth conference to help students look at Entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
TalentBridge is a unique program delivered by OCRI to give Ontario’s young talent an opportunity to work closely with Ottawa based SME’s in the areas of business strategy, marketing and sales.
Young entrepreneurs can access start-up financing, world-class mentoring and business resources to create and sustain their own successful business.
This online teacher portal has been designed by the Entrepreneurship Centre to provide business teachers a quick resource in searching for business texts, literature, DVDs that may be borrowed from the Entrepreneurship Centre and used in business classes. The portal also provides a list of entrepreneurs who have offered their service to the Centre as guest speakers. They may be contacted online directly by the business teacher.
JA is a leading provider of youth business and entrepreneurship programming. JA programs provide experiences that promote the skills, understanding and perspectives students will need to succeed in a global economy.
